Moving Vision. Art, Transformation and the Feldenkrais Method®
Using Art and the Feldenkrais Method of somatic education as a way for connecting visual, cognitive and somatic experience.
When a work of art strikes us and captures our vision we enter the piece of art at the same time as it enters us, thus transforming our sensations, states of mind and thoughts.
In the workshop, inspired by my book “Lo sguardo in movimento”, we will associate works of art with some fundamental experiences embodied by all, because they make up our human heritage (i.e. feeling supported, identyifying one's core, orienting, realizing an intention, and more). They involve our whole being, guiding us in every activity and influencing our relationship with the environment and with others. We will explore one of these fundamental experiences while observing works of art through our senses and while practicing Awareness through Movement®– in other words seeing, feeling, moving and thinking.
